Sitting In the Waiting Room…
Eventful weekend thus far. Friday I spent about 5 hours at Wai Kru. What a gnarly experience that much time training is. I have no idea how the pro’s manage to do it. Once again, Kru Mark used me as his practice dummy in Muay Thai class. It’s pretty impressive; Even when Kru is demonstrating a kick at half power, it hurts. I suppose theres a certain amount of getting used to this that will happen, but I’m waiting for my ribs to stop hurting before I count on that.
Went to Roller Derby last night. Wow. I just get such an immense thrill out of going. Not only is it a pretty compelling sport, but something about beatiful, tattoed women beating each other makes me feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven.
Anyways, I’m sitting in Logan Airport, who has now managed to find themselves on my shit list. 8 bucks to use the internet? I have some choice words for that, but I shall reserve them.
Jerkoffs.
Flight at 1:30 to go to LaGuardia and start Fiesta training. Not sure what will be involved in that; most likely a bit of beurocratic lecturing. Necessary evils, but generally unfavorable. Hopefully things will be concise and focused. I’ll have to tell you.
I will say this; its funny looking around the airport. I know there are at least 4 other Ford Fiesta Agents coming out of the Boston area (The only one I would actually recognize is Jenna Lyng http://fiestamovement.com/agents/view/49) but I’m sitting here looking around wondering who is who. Interesting, to say the very least. For some reason I’m not feeling particularly social today, so I hope I don’t turn into a curmudgeon. I think it’s just hunger.
Traveling feels good. Traveling when I’m not paying for it feels better. Something about being in an Airport, knowing that I have somewhere to go is quite liberating. I havn’t thought of a name for the car, but I’m sure that she’ll tell me when we meet.
People need to stop giving my arm sideways glances. It’s 2009 people, not just bikers and ex-cons have tattoos. Sheesh.
Yes, I am in Logan, now waiting to board my flight in about an hour and a half to go to NYC. Freedom.
